VIDEO: Umpire John Hirschbeck gets struck by warm up pitch – leaves game

Here’s video of a weird injury. Umpire John Hirschbeck is struck in the face mask by a warm up throw by Pirates pitcher Chris Narveso in the first inning between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Milwaukee Brewers.

Hirschbeck, best remembered for the Roberto Alomar spitting incident, left the game after the first inning. The Pirates scored three times in the first inning prompting the Pirates trainers the check him out (no joke intended).
