PRO Rumors: Mike Lamb, Carlos Lee and Carlos Santana
ByHere are a few PRO Rumors to check out as you breeze through those late night infomercials:
-The Marlins designated Mike Lamb for assignment, reports Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald via tweeter. Lamb made 18 at bats in 17 games in his Marlins career. Bryan Petersen was called up from Triple-A to take Lamb’s spot on the active roster.
-Carlos Lee may hang up the spikes after the 2012 season which would be then of the 6yr $100 mm deal he signed. Lee has a limited no-trade clause after this season, but considering he’s owed $18.5 million in each of the final three years, trading him would be difficult.
“That was one of the reasons I signed here, was to come here and kind of establish myself with a long-team deal and finish up here,” he said. “I don’t know if I’m going to play after this contract is up. I’m ready to go home.”
- The Indians Carlos Santana is making huge strides behind the plate and is preparing to take over the catching duties for the Indians reports Cleveland.com. As you may recall, the Indians obtained Santana from the Dodgers in a trade for Casey Blake. The Indians have since added the Dodgers to their Christmas list as they stole a stud.
