Bob Dutton of The Kansas City Star says the Seattle Mariners have show “signs of interest” in Royals designated hitter Jose Guillen. The Royals have not received a formal inquiry.

Guillen, 34, is currently hitting .275/.318/.542 with 8 home runs.

The Mariners are struggling on offense and are seeking somebody to replace Milton Bradley who was recently placed on the restricted list due to emotional stress.
