Charley Walters of Pioneer Press says that Jim Thome wants to return next year to the Minnesota Twins.

“I would love to stay,” he said. “It’s a great place, the people, the organization, the guys, the clubhouse. It’s been wonderful. I’ve had a blast.”

Thome, 39, it currently hitting .258/.395/.545 in 81 plate appearances with the Twins this year as a DH. He signed a one-year, $1.5 million deal last winter.
