According to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, he tweets, “Geoff Jenkins isn’t saying the word retirement but, ‘the writing’s on the wall.’”

Jenkins, 35, has not played since 2008 when he appeared in 115 games for the Phillies. He has played a total of 11 Major League seasons (10 with the Brewers). In his career the outfielder hit .275/.344/.490.  You can see Jenkins’ statistical history here.
