Yes Manny also became a distraction in Boston, but he wasn't yelling at thirdbasemans to drop the ball and other dumb things that A-rod has done. I also think seeing how Lester has developed, it ended up being the right move. Lester is a stud lefty who when on his game can pitch with the best in the leagues. Yes A-rod provides lots of offense (during the regular season) but you can get that from other people. A-rod is a cancer that will slowly posion people around him.
