Washington Nationals Trade Rumors: Looking for Right Field help

By Allan

Ben Goessling of MASNSports.com says that the Washington Nationals have discussed a trade for
Milwaukee Brewers right fielder Corey Hart, the Chicago Cubs for Kosuke Fukudome and the Tampa Bay Rays for B.J. Upton.

The Brewers and Nationals have not found a “common ground” on a deal for Hart. The Cubs owe Fukudome $26.5 million over the next two seasons so the Cubs would probably need to cover most of the salary if they want to move him. The Rays are not willing to part with Upton unless they are out of the AL East race by the trade deadline.

For now, the Nationals will continue to check the market for quality outfield help, but will start the season with the internal options of Willie Harris and Willy Taveras.
