Here are a few Sunday afternoon moves by the San Francisco Giants:

• John Bowker will be the team’s Opening Day right fielder. Bowker beat out incumbent Nate Schierholtz by having an impressive Spring with six home runs and 22 RBIs.
• The Giants purchased the contracts of right-handers Todd Wellemeyer and Guillermo Mota.
• Denny Bautista was re-assigned to Triple-A Fresno.
• Emmanuel Burriss (fractured left foot), second baseman Freddy Sanchez (left shoulder) and outfielder Fred Lewis (strained left side) were placed on the 15-day disabled list
