Here are your Monday morning PRO Rumors:

• Gorden Edes of ESPNBoston.com tweets that he didn’t think Scott Schoeneweis would make the club (he is on the active 25 man roster). He believes that Alan Embree will make the club after he puts in more work in the Minor Leagues.
• Daisuke Matsuzaka will start the season the 15-day disabled list. MSNBC.com says that he will start a game for Triple-A Pawtucket on April 10 and could be back in the Big Leagues by the beginning of May.
• Gary Matthews Jr. has been named the Mets’ Opening Day center fielder. It beat out Angel Pagan and should receive most of the playing time until Carlos Beltran comes back. (Kevin Kernan, New York Post)
