Jeramine Dye Rumors: Headed to Milwaukee or Washington?
ByKen Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports says that free agent outfielder Jermaine Dye has been talking with the Milwaukee Brewers this week, but the “talks failed to produce an agreement.”
Had the signing of Dye been completed, it may have triggered a series of events that would have resulted in right-fielder Corey Hart being traded, possibly to the Washington Nationals. The Brewers have not been happy with Hart who is scheduled to make $4.8 million this season. FOXSports says that the Brewers and Nationals have discussed Hart since the team is looking for a right fielder to replace Elijah Dukes. The Nationals also have been linked to Dye.
Dye, 35, hit 27 home runs and drove in 81 RBIs in 2009. You can see Dye’s contract history and statistics here.
