Athletics have agreed to 4 yr contract extension with LHP Brett Anderson

4/16 18:00: According to John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle, the deal is $12.5 million over four years, and the max with the two option years is $30 million. He’ll get a $1 million signing bonus, salaries of $500,000 in 2010, $1 million in 2011, $3 million 2012 and $5.5 million 2013. The club options are for $8 million in 2014 and $12 million in 2015.

4/16 14:54: Jane Lee of MLB.com reminds us that the deall will take Anderson through his arbitration years and first year of potential free agency.

4/16 14:29: Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports tweets, “Oakland A’s just announced four-year contract with LHP Brett Anderson that includes club options for 2014 and 2015.”

Anderson, 22, has a career 12-11 record with a 3.80 ERA including 1-0 this year. He has a career WHIP of 1.265 and a SO/9 ratio of 7.7. The deal will nullify the $410,000 deal he signed last month.  You can see Anderson’s statistics here.
