According to a team press release, the Boston Red Sox have acquired INF Kevin Frandsen from the San Francisco Giants for a player to be named later or cash.

The Giants have been known to be shopping the infielder this week. It was rumored during the Winter Meetings that the Giants attempted to trade Frandsen to the San Diego Padres for Kevin Kouzmanoff, but the deal did not happen.
