- According to Kevin Kernan of the New York Post, he tweets, “#Mets Kelvim Escobar is not throwing in the towel for the season, as one report said. He just told me he is going to throw in about 10 days.”
- Scott Lauber of The News Journal says that Phillies pitchers J.C. Romero could be ready to join the team by April 12. Brad Lidge has been throwing batting practice and will be in a live game late next week.
