Adam Rubin of The New York Daily News reports that the Mets have signed right-handed reliever Kiko Calero to a Minor League deal.
Joel Sherman of The New York Post added, that if Calero makes the team, he will make $850,000 with a $650,000 in performance bonuses. Sherman adds that there is no opt-out if he is sent tot he Minor Leagues.
Calero, 35, pitched for the Marlins in 2009 going 2-2 with a 1.95 ERA over 67 games. You can see Calero’s contract history and statistics here.
