Josh Hamilton Trade Rumors: Could the Rangers deal their RF?
ByAccording to Nick Cafardo of The Boston Globe, scouts are watching right fielder Josh Hamilton in case the Texas Rangers entertain the thought of trading him before the end of Spring Training.
One National League scout said, “Everybody in Texas denies it, and I don’t know what to base it on, but there’s a feeling the Rangers may do something, and teams want to be ready.’’
Hamilton, 28, hit 10 home runs and drove in 54 RBIs in 89 games with the Texas Rangers last season. He spent most of the time on the disabled list in 2009 with a bruised rib cage and abdominal strain. He’s under contract with the Rangers through the 2010 season. Hamilton will make $3.25 million this year. You can see Hamilton’s contract history and statistics here.
