Bryce Harper Draft Rumors: May stay in college another year?

By Allan

“Baseball’s Chosen One” – Bryce Harper, being advised by agent Scott Boras, said that it’s not a foregone conclusion that he will enter this June’s Major League draft.

“I’m not focused on the draft right now,” Harper said. “I’m worried about winning the national championship at CSN (College of Southern Nevada). If I come back next year and play here again, that would be great. I’m still looking at Division-I colleges.

The Harper family has rejected invitations from many media outlets such as 60 Minutes and Jimmy Kimmel Live! to allow Bryce to concentrate on school and baseball.

Harper is widely speculated to be the number one pick by the Washington Nationals in this years draft. In his first season against junior college pitching, the 6-foot-3 Harper is playing catcher, third base and the outfield. He is hitting .356 with four home runs and 18 RBIs.

Information from Matt Youmans of The Las Vegas Review-Journal was used in this article.
