Bob Raissman of The New York Daily News says the Yankees management team is “very, very angry” at Alex Rodriguez.

“They (Yankees brass) don’t like being blindsided,” said a TV industry source who deals with the Yankees and YES. “If Rodriguez isn’t protecting the organization paying him a fortune, why should the organization go out of its way to protect him?”

The team is upset that Rodriguez has been contacted by the FBI to testify in a matter concerning Anthony Galea, the Canadian doctor linked to importing of illegal drugs.

In yesterday’s Spring Training broadcast by YES, announcer Ken Singleton talked about last spring, Rodriguez’s hip surgery and uh, uh, steroids.” It’s doubtful that the Yankees’ brass batted an eye when the announcers brought up Rodriguez’s past.
