Adrian Gonzalez Trade Rumors: Ozzie Guillen tired of rumors
ByThe trade rumors are swirling around Chicago with Adrian Gonzalez for Gordon Beckham, but manager Ozzie Guillen is not buying into any of it according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
”Right now, I like the team we have,” Guillen said. ”We have a general manager [in Ken Williams] who keeps things quiet, thank God. And when he makes deals, it’s for a reason. But we plan to have Gordon for a long time. I don’t see why people are still talking about it.”
There have been talks over the last few days that Chicago’s Gordan Beckham would be the centerpiece in a deal that would bring Adrian Gonzalez from the Padres to the White Sox. Former Padre and current White Sox pitcher Jake Peavy has been campaigning publicaly to bring Adrian Gonzalez to Chicago.
