Don’t adjust your screen. The professional baseball utility formally known as MLB Secrets is now known as PRO Rumors. Recently Major League Baseball asked us to remove the MLB trademark from our name. Rather than spend a lot of money fighting them, we have decided that it is best to re-brand our products and site immediately. As of February, we are known as PRO Rumors.

In addition to our name change, here’s a list of recent additions to our the PRO Rumors website, blog and iPhone app:

PRO Rumors iPhone App Version 2.1: Version 2.1 includes all the great features of version 1.0, but we have added Push notification and Search News By Team. You asked for these features and we were happy to create them for you. Now you will be notified on your iPhone by a push notification whenever there’s a breaking news story or rumor. You also do not have to sift through other articles to get the latest info about your team. You can search by team and read the information instantly. Find out more by clicking here

Really cool graphs: Many of the statistic websites today have the look of the back of a baseball card. While there’s no escape from that, PRO Rumors has felt that visual graphs help us learn and retain more information. We have added batting and pitching graphs to each player in our database. Now you can see how your favorite player compared to his peers. Take a look at the graphs below.

Website redesign: In parallel to our re-branding, we have updated the look and feel of our main site at www.prorumors.com. We have also changed the code to increase the performance of the website. It loads so much faster now!

Contract info: We spent time going through the web to find contract information about every player in the Major Leagues and we put it into our website’s database. Do you want to know how long your franchise slugger will be around? Which players have hotel suites while they are on the road? Now you can use PRO Rumors to get that information. Check out C.C. PRO Rumors TV: That’s right! PRO Rumors TV will be live this Saturday evening. We plan to have a regularly occurring show talking about the latest baseball news and rumors with special guests.
