Update 2/12 17:52: According to Bill Ladson of MLB.com, the deal between the Washington Nationals and Adam Kennedy is official. The deal is for one-year, $1.25 million, which includes a $2 million club option for 2011.
2/4 22:14: According to Bill Ladson of MLB.com, the Washington Nationals have agreed to terms with free agent second baseman Adam Kennedy.
Kennedy was known to be speaking with the Cleveland Indians and Washington Nationals recently, but everything was on hold until Orlando Hudson decided where he was going. Hudson agreed to a deal with the Twins today.
Kennedy, 34, played with the Oakland A’s in 2009 where he hit .289 with 11 home runs and 63 RBIs in 129 games. You can see Adam Kennedy’s contract history and statistics here.
