Mauer to me seems to enjoy the Twins and is also a local boy. Though he isnt really taking a hometown discount at 20 million a year I think he will stay with them. Plus I think Boston would not be in the mix as the already have Victor Martinez. Though Martinez is a great catcher he is know Mauer. With that being said, I think Boston will have other holes to fill next off season and will go with Martinez who will be cheaper and who they know can perform at a high level in Boston.
