According to The Los Angeles Times, shortstop Erick Aybar and the Los Angeles Angels have avoided going to salary arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.05 million deal that includes an additional $100,000 if he reaches 625 plate appearances.
Aybar was asking for $2.75 million and the Angels were offering $1.75 million.
