Free agent outfielder Endy Chavez is drawing interest from the New York Mets, Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.

Chavez is returning from major surgery on his right knee and coule be ready to play in May or perhaps April. Morosi says that Chavez could decide on two courses of action: sign with a club soon and rehabilitate with the team’s medical staff throughout Spring Training or continue his workouts individually and stage a showcase in late March.

Chavez, 32, hit .273 with 2 home runs and 13 RBIs in 54 games with the Seattle Mariners in 2009. You can see Chavez’s contract history and statistics here.
