2/9 15:02: Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that two unidentified clubs have made offers to free agent pitcher Chien-Ming Wang.
It has been known that the Dodgers are interested in Wang and the pitcher would have interest in reuniting with former Yankees manager Joe Torre in Los Angeles. The Mets are in need of a starting pitcher since they have not been able to sign one this off season.
Other possible teams that could use Wang include the Orioles, Nationals, Rays and Blue Jays. Rosenthal says that several teams have already given Wang a physical so once he agrees to a deal, that part of the process will be complete. Wang is expected to make a decision within 7 to 10 days.
Wang has a 55-26 record with a 4.16 ERA over 5 seasons with the Yankees. You can see Wang’s statistics here.
