Lynn Henning of The Detroit News reports that Johnny Damon would be happy to talk with the Detroit Tigers.

“Johnny believes the addition of him to Detroit’s lineup would make the Tigers a winner,” Scott Boras, Damon’s agent, said during a Monday phone conversation.

It has been rumored since last month that Boras and Damon have been engaging with the Tigers as a possible destination for Damon. The Tigers are in need of a left-handed top-of-the-order guy.
