Texas Rangers sign CJ Wilson to one-year $3.1 million contract

By Allan

Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News Tweets that left-handed pitcher C.J. Wilson has signed a one-year $3.1 million contract.

ESPN.com says that it is unclear what the 29-year-old’s role will be in 2010. He may compete for a job in the rotation, or he may be kept in the bullpen.

Wilson, 29, was 5-6 with 14 saves in 74 games for the Texas Rangers in 2009. He had a salary of $1.85 million last season. You can see C.J. Wilson’s contract history and statistics here.
