Jon Paul Morosi of Fox Sports reports the the Seattle Mariners are interested in free agent utility man Fernando Tatis.

The versatile Tatis played all 4 infield positions and corner outfield positions with the Mets last season, so he would give the Mariners flexibility in where they could use him.

Tatis, 35, hit .282 with 8 home runs and 48 RBIs with the New York Mets in 2009. Tatis, a type-B free agent, was not offered salary arbitration this off season. He made $1.7 million in 2009.  Tatis has drawn interest from the Colorado Rockies this Winter.
