Randy Winn and Yankees agree to $2 million deal

By Allan

According to Anthony McCarron of the New York Daily News, the New York Yankees have reached a one-year deal with outfielder Randy Winn pending a physical.

Winn is a versatile outfielder who has played all three outfield positions in his career. He played 54 games in left field for the Giants in 2009, so that probably would eliminate Johnny Damon from returning to the Bronx.

Winn, 35, hit .262 with 2 home runs and 51 RBIs last season. He made $8.25 million in the last year of a three-year contract. You can see his contract history and statistics here.
