The Oakland Athetics signed a two-year deal with right-handed pitcher Michael Wuertz. He’ll make $2.2 million this year, $2.8 next year and there’s a $3.5 million team option for 2012. The buyout is for 2012 is $250,000. The option year will cover Wuertz’s first year of free agent eligibility. The deal was reported by Jane Lee of MLB.com
