New York Yankees sign Chad Guadin and Boone Logan

By Allan

Chad Jennings of The Journal News reports that the New York Yankees have agreed to contracts with Chad Gaudin and LHP Boone Logan.

Gaudin, 27 in March, pitched in 11 games (6 game starts) for the Yankees in 2009 where he went 2-0 with a 3.43 ERA in 42 innings. You can see Gaudin’s contract history and statistics here. Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports suggested last month that Gaudin should be the Yankees fifth starter instead of Phil Hughes or Joba Chamberlain.

Logan, 25, has played in 164 games over four seasons with the Chicago White Sox and the Atlanta Braves.  He was acquired by the Yankees with Javier Vazquez from the Braves last month. He played in 20 games with the Braves, was 1-1 and had a 5.19 ERA in 17 1/3 innings. You can see Logan’s contract history and statistics here.
