You have to feel for Boston Red Sox third baseman Mike Lowell.  He was traded, then the deal was voided and then Adrian Beltre comes in to replace him.  However, according to general manager Theo Epstein, the situation is something, “that will take care of itself”.

Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe said that Lowell’s priority is to get healthy and show that he can play.  Epstein wants Lowell to be placed in the right situation, whether it is in Boston or somewhere else.

Abraham says that the last thing the Red Sox want are fans screaming for Lowell to come off the bench every time Beltre goes 0 for 4.
