Andrew Marchand of 1050 ESPN writes that free agent Jason Giambi is close to signing a one-year deal with the Colorado Rockies.

In Colorado, Giambi will be struggling for playing time since he’ll be third on the depth chart behind Todd Helton and Brad Hawpe.
