Update: 1/12 11:24am: According to Alyson Footer, Sr. Director of Digital Media, the deal for Myers will pay him $3.1 million for 2010 with a mutual option worth $8 million for 2011. If the Astros decline the 2011 option, there is a $2 million buyout.
1/8 20:39: According to ESPN, the Houston Astros have reached a preliminary agreement with right-handed pitcher Brett Myers. The one-year contract is for $5 million plus performance incentives, and it includes a mutual option for 2011. The agreement is pending a physical which is scheduled for next week.
