Giants agree to one-year deal with closer Brian Wilson
ByAccording to the Associated Press, the San Francisco Giants and closer Brian Wilson have avoided salary-arbitration by agreeing to a one-year deal. Both sides agreed to the mid-point salary of $4.4375 million. Wilson was asking for $4.875 million and the Giants were offering $4 million.
Wilson, 28 in March, was 5-6 with a 2.74 ERA with 38 saves for the Giants in 2009. You can see Wilson’s contract history and statistics here.
