MLB.com reports that Eric Hinske has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Atlanta Braves pending a physical.
The terms of the deal were not available, but this signing is expected to be the last major move the Braves this off season. Hinske can play both corner outfield and infield positions. He’s expected to primarily come off the bench.
Hinske, 32, is a lifetime .254 hitter with a career .336 on base percentage. He made $1.5 million with the Pirates and Yankees in 2009.
