Dodgers sign catcher Brad Ausmus to one-year deal

Update 14:18pm: Hernandez adds that there is a $150,000 buyout if the Dodgers decline the 2011 mutual option.

1/26 14:05: Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times Tweets that the Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a new deal with catcher Brad Ausmus. Ausmus will make $850, 000 in 2010 with a mutual option for 2011.

Buster Olney of ESPN reports that the deal is for $1 million.

Ausmus had been linked with the Dodgers and Giants throughout the off-season. The catcher hit .295 (28 for 95) with 1 home run and 9 RBIs in 36 games with the Dodgers last season. You can see Ausmus’ contract history and statistics here.
