According to Jon Paul Morosi of Fox Sports, the Texas Rangers and free agent starting pitcher Colby Lewis have reached a tentative two-year contract.
Lewis will be joining a Ranger’s rotation that includes Rich Harden, Scott Feldman, Derek Holland, Tommy Hunter and Brandon McCarthy. It’s not known who the odd man out is.
Lewis, 30, has not played in the Major Leagues since 2007 when he was 0-2 in 26 games (1 game start) with a 6.45 ERA for the Oakland A’s. According to Morosi, Lewis had two strong seasons in Japan. You can see Lewis’ statistics here.
