White Sox acquire outfielder Juan Pierre from the Dodgers

Update 12/17 12:19pm PST: ESPN.com reports that John Ely appears to be one of the two players to be named later in the trade that sent Juan Pierre and $10.5 million from the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Chicago White Sox.  The Dodgers will choose two of three prospects the White Sox offered in the trade sometime before the first of the year, according to a Major League Baseball official with knowledge of the deal.

Update 09:29am PST: Jon Morosi, FoxSports.com writer, Tweets that the Minor League players headed to the Dodgers are John Ely and Jon Link.  Developing.

Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports Tweets that the White Sox have acquired outfielder Juan Pierre from the Dodgers for two minor league pitchers.  Dodgers are to pick up about half of the remaining salary.  Developing.
