Roy Halladay to the Rays?
ByAccording to one major league source, the Tampa Bay Rays have asked the Toronto Blue Jays about starting pitcher Roy Halladay. They might be willing to offer star pitching prospect Wade Davis and outfielder B.J. Upton.
Halladay has a no trade clause, but it would make sense for him to waive it since he lives in the Tampa Bay area in the off season. You can see Halladay’s contract details here.
Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos told Toronto-area reporters today that he has discussed three- and four-team trades with other clubs. That fits with the Tampa Bay scenario. The Jays are being very aggressive in trying to deal Halladay before Spring Training as he has requested.
