The San Diego Padres have signed starting pitcher Kevin Corriea to a one-year, $3.6 million contract. This is a significant raise for Corriea who made $1.1 million in 2008. The low salary last year was due to his hometown discount that he gave to the Padres. Correia, went 12-11 with a 3.91 ERA in 33 starts last season. He has a 26-33 career record with a 4.36 ERA with the San Francisco Giants and San Diego Padres. You can read his complete contract and statistic history here.
