Update 15:02 PST: Ken Rosenthal adds that the Royals have 4 outfielders with the addition of Brian Anderson. The incumbents are David DeJesus, Jose Guillen and Mitch Maier. It is possible that the Royals may make a run at free agent Scott Podsednik, but Podsednik may want to go to more of a contender like the Cubs, Giants or Tigers.

13:31 PST: Scott Merkin Tweets: Brian Anderson agrees on one-year Major League deal with the Royals
It was rumored yesterday from Ken Rosenthal’s Tweet that the Royals were looking at the former White Sox center fielder for a minor-league deal.
Anderson, 28 on Opening Day 2010, played four seasons with the White Sox. He hit .232 with 8 home runs and 26 RBI’s in 181 at bats for the Chicago White Soxn in 2009.
