  • Tablot, 26, is out of Minor League options.  He has to be added to the Indian’s 40-man roster and must make the Opening Day roster out of Spring Training or be exposed to the waiver wire.
  • Shoppach was given a $1.95 million contract last year in his first year of arbitration eligibility.  He was due to receive a raise in this year’s salary arbitration.
  • The other player the Indians considered to be the player to be named later was RHP Joseph Cruz.
  • Talbot was named Triple-A Charlotte Pitcher of the Year in 2007 and 2008.  He owns a 62-54 record and 3.79 ERA in 165 start in his Minor League career.
