It is his MO. Remember how he cliamed to have several offers on the table for Man-Ram last year when in reality the Dodgers were the only team that ever gave Manny a significant offer of any kind? Do not be shocked if Holliday signs with the Cards a month from now with no significant changes to the offer currently on the table. The reason the Cards are not upping the offer is because they do not think there are any other teams in serious negotiations with Boras on Holliday. From what I have seen since the rumored offer was made the deal only guarantees five years and Boras appears to have convinced himself Holliday should get a deal comparable to what Teixeira got from NY. The only problem is with teams like the Yankees and Red Sox not in on the bidding driving the price up for Holliday he is not going to get anything remotely close to what Tex got.
