Baltimore Orioles: Acquired starting pitcher Kevin Millwood from the Rangers for RHP Chris Ray and cash. May be interested in a trade with the Braves for relief pitcher Rafael Soriano. The O’s are still interested in first baseman Nick Johnson.
Boston Red Sox: In negotiations right now to trade 3B Mike Lowell to the Texas Rangers for C Max Ramirez. Interested in Jason Bay, but he is not a must have and the Red Sox do not want to enter into a bidding war.
Chicago White Sox: Still showing interest in relief pitcher J.J. Putz. Rumored to be pursuing outfielder Scott Podsednik. Signed third baseman Mark Teahan to a 3 year $14 million contract.
Cleveland Indians: Still have interest in re-signing utility man Jamey Carroll. However, Jerry Crasnick Tweets that the Indians have no money to spend this off season.
Detroit Tigers: Finalized 3 way trade with Yankees and Diamondbacks. Interested in re-signing closer Fernando Rodney, but they may have competition with the Phillies. Were interested in Brandon Lyon until he signed with the Astros.
Kansas City Royals: Milton Bradley may be headed to an AL club and the Royals have been named as a suitor. The Royals are in need of catching help. Rumored catchers include Bengie Molina, Yorvit Torrealba, Miguel Olivo, Jason Kendall and Rod Barajas.
Los Angeles Angels: Los Angeles Angels have a 3 for 1 offer on the table for pitcher Roy Halladay.
Minnesota Twins: Boof Bonser was designated for assignment to make room for Carl Pavano.
New York Yankees: Re-signed Andy Pettitte for 1 year $11.75 million deal. Finalized 3 way trade with Tigers and Diamondbacks. Rumors involve Roy Halladay, John Lackey, Jason Bay and Nick Johnson.
Oakland Athletics: Oakland may be a potential new home for Hideki Matsui.
